Paolo Villella
Scientific Program Manager
He oversees GSC'advanced robotics researches and manages cutting edges programs. After receiving a degree as Mechanical Engineer from University of Pisa, he spent 3 years as a mechanical designer in industry and then became robotics researcher at Scuola Superiore Sant'Anna in Pisa. His industrial and scientific backgrounds allow him to address scientific programs to industrial relevant directions.

Fabrizio Rocchi
Chief Scientist
Since he achieved his degree in mechanical engineer Fabrizio Rocchi was always concerned with robotic research and development, in the field of HMI and, most recently, of mobile robotics. His work is particularly focused on mathematical aspects related with localization, mapping, navigation and control of mobile robots.

Torquato Cecchini
Technical Director
Torquato Cecchini is a Computer Science and Automation Engineer. He worked on Naval Guidance Control Systems and tissue production Analisys Systems. He developes Mobile Robotics Control Architectures based on PC and microcontrollers.

Rocco Vertechy
PhD Innovative Materials
He received the Laurea degree in mechanical engineering and the Ph.D. degree in mechanics of machines from the University of Bologna, Bologna, Italy, in 2001 and 2005, respectively.
He is currently Assistant Professor at the PERCRO laboratory of the Scuola Superiore Sant’Anna, Pisa, Italy.

Computer Vision Engineer
He is a Computer Science and Automation Engineer, involved in several research projects as SW developer. His work is currently focused on robotic perception applied to autonomous navigation in unstructured environments.

Software Developer
He received a Master's degree in "Tecnologie Informatiche" (Computer Science) from the University of Pisa, Italy, in 2010. His activity is focused on general and real time software processes development, sensors control and data acquisition/integration/interpretation, robotic platform control software development, multi-platform GUI design.

Walter Lucetti
Robotic and Computer Vision Engineer
He is a Computer Science and Automation Engineer. He worked on SLAM problem integrating 3D Laser and Vision sensors, then worked five year in industry, developing software for GIS, Industrial Processes Control, Embedded Control and Computer Vision. His work is currently focused in Sensor Fusion, with a particular focus on 3D Laser and Stereo Vision.

Emiliano Morini
Mathematician
He received a master degree in Mathematics from the University of Pisa, in 2008. He is particularly interested in the development of mathematical tools for the design, analysis and implementation of algorithms for the efficient solution of computational problems. His work is focused on the improvement of mathematical aspects of the software for mobile robots.

Matteo Unetti
Software Developer
He is a Computer Science and Automation Engineer. His activity is focused on study of odometric and velocity models for robotic vehicles and localization algorithms by Bayes and Kalman filters. He developes relocation alghorithm based on map and LRF data.

He received a Computer Science and Automation Engineering Degree from Pisa University. His current activity is focused on the design and development on embedded systems of control algorithms, mechatronics integration and communication protocols for robotics.
